Math 8 (Algebra):
 
We will continue to review and learn about functions this week using our 8th grade Algebra books "Algebra, Structure and Method - Book 1".  During this week we will continue to learn about Topic 8 "Introduction to Functions" with Lesson 8-4 "The Slope-Intercept Form of a Linear Equation" with daily homework and in-class assignments to help prepare for the weekly quiz.  The math quiz on Topic 8-4 "The Slope-Intercept Form of a Linear Equation" is on Friday, 2/14.
 
 
 
Religion 8:
 
We will continue with using our 8th Grade Religion books "Finding God",  and continue with Unit 3 "We Worship".  During this week we will complete Session 14  "Serving Physical and Spiritual Needs".   Along with using our Religion books, we will learn and complete lessons with Studio 3:16, and we will continue with studying Virtues in Practice with focusing on "Hope".  ** The Virtue for the month of February is "Cheerfulness....looking on the bright side".  The Saint we will learn about for the month of February is Blessed Miguel Augustin Pro. **
 
 
 
Math 7 (Pre-Algebra):
 
We will continue to learn about how to solve problems using equations and inequalities this week using our 7th Grade Envision Math Series - Volume 2 books.  During this week we will continue to learn about Topic 5 "Solve Problems Using Equations and Inequalities" with Lesson 5-1 -Part 2 (Lesson 2-6 in Pre-Algebra books) "Solve Equations with Multiplication & Division"  with daily homework and in-class assignments to help prepare for the weekly quiz.  The math quiz on Topic 5-1:Part 2 (Lesson 2-6)  "Solve Equations with Multiplication & Division" is on Friday, 2/14.
 
 
  
 
Math 6: 
 
We will begin to learn about representing and solving equations and inequalities this week using our 6th Grade Envision Math Series - Volume 1 books.  During this week we will begin to learn Topic 4 "Represent and Solve Equations and Inequalities" with Lesson 4-1 "Understand Equations and Solutions" with daily homework and in-class assignments to help prepare for the weekly quiz.  The math quiz on Topic 4-1 "Understand Equations and Solutions " is on Friday, 2/14.   Along with learning our regular math topics each week, the students will enhance their math skills with weekly "Timed" Division fact quizzes for the remainder of the school year.   ** This week's "Timed" Division Facts Quiz will be on Wednesday, 2/12 on Division Facts to 25. **
 
 
 
Math 5:
 
We will continue to learn and review strategies to divide whole numbers using our 5th Grade Envision Math Series - Volume 1 books.  During this week we will continue to learn Topic 5 "Use Models and Strategies to Divide Whole Numbers" with Lesson 5 - 6  "Use Sharing to Divide: Greater Dividends" with daily homework and in-class assignments to help prepare for the weekly quiz.  The math quiz on Topic 5 - 6 "Use Sharing to Divide: Greater Dividends" is on Friday, 2/14.   Along with learning our regular math topics each week, the students will enhance their math skills with weekly Multiplication fact quizzes.  All multiplication facts for the remainder of the school year will be "timed".  ** This week's "Timed" Multiplication Facts Quiz will be on Wednesday, 2/12 on Lesson 4 - "Threes and Review" **
