Hello Parents and Students, here are this week’s happenings!

REMINDER: CHECK FACTS FOR GRADES FREQUENTLY.
Grades can change frequently!!!
Clarification on Grading.
Because the functions of FACTS are limited, I left assignments blank until students passed it in. I gave students lots of time and some waited until the end of the quarter. This caused some confusion. Going forward this is how grades will be entered. Please note I have several assignments to correct and grade but I generally try to enter them within two to three days.
When students have an assignment in class, it is generally due that day. If students don't finish the assignment, it is homework and due the next day. A zero "0" will be put in for the grade if it is not passed in. After this, students will be given one more day to pass in assignments for partial credit (50%). After this, the assignment will be closed and not be accepted after this time and be put in as "0".
If students are absent, they will be given three (3) additional days to complete assignments and to make-up exams.
Some assignments may be longer (more than a day) and I will give students a future date to pass it in (i.e. Online IXL Assignments, projects, etc).
Please check the FACTS daily for updates on grades.
Please give your student access to grades on FACTS.

AGENDAS
Please note that the agendas will no longer be on the website. I will be email mailing parents weekly in grades 5-8. The agendas will also be in Google Classroom. This tool is a way for students to know what their tasks are for the week. This helps promote time management. Notice, I give students a due date a few days out so that they can get work completed and passed in on time.
